1982
Pontiac Firebird
Originally with a 2.8l V6 &
4spd | Later in life switched to a Holley carbed 350 and 700r4.
This car was what started me in track oriented drag racing. Some people
are defined by their cars... Over the years I have not had many cars, but have
kept each one as long as possible. My Firebird below saw me through many
good and bad times. I really did not want to part with such a piece of
my history, but with insurance and storage considerations. I could only keep 1
car. After I found the IROC, and fixed it up to be reliable daily
transport, I sold the Firebird. :-(
1984-1995
Wife & the old 82 Firebird September 1994
82 Firebird: Scottsdale 1986
1976 Mercury
Monarch
Purchased in Las Cruces, NM, this car
had a straight 6 and 3 on the tree. I added the sunroof, driving lights,
and Cragars. It really was not a bad car. Just not the high performance
I wanted.
1981-1984
1972 Ford LTD
This car had a short life....
Purchased from a friend's relative, it had been sitting for years. Drove
it to New Mexico, and on the way it developed a bad engine knock. By the
time I arrived...it was toast. The body and interior were nice, and I
was able to trade it in on the 76 Monarch above.

1970 Olds
Cutlass 442 W-30
My first "race" car...I purchased this car sometime in 1979.
This car was where I learned to work on vehicles. I ended up blowing 3
engines in this thing before I parted it out and had the carcass hauled
away.... If I only knew how valuable it would become..... Mine was a metallic
blue with white vinyl top, white stripes on the hood and white vinyl interior
with black trim. Definitely not the usual 442, which would have made it
that much more valuable.

1968 Cadillac
2dr (The Boat)
My first car.... a 68 Caddy with faded "OD" green paint. This
car had all leather interior, power everything and a big 472 w/ a huge 4
barrel carb.
