- March 3rd: 9th Annual Ted Hoover Memorial Race (Team Speedworld) sponsored by ADRA.
- Team Speedworld: Preliminary schedule has been released with multiple back to back races on the same weekend.
Open Discussion:
- Several racers expressed concern over the proposed 2012 racing schedule, citing impact to points standing on back-to-back racers if breakage should occur, the cost factor and the possibility of forcing racers to choose between events.
- Another member remarked about the rocks at Speedworld; and how the charges at the gate were inconsistent between events.
- Firebird Event: Due to some changes in the Team Speedworld event, there is a possibility that we may not be able to retain our Firebird date with the Monster Truck Event. It may conflict with a possible National Open at Speedworld.
- Double Points: We took a quick poll of members at this meeting to get preliminary feedback on the idea to make the last 2012 points race (Tucson) a double points race. Majority of the member present were “for” the idea. A more formal poll of the members will be conducted via email.
- 50/50 – Scott Hess
Motion to adjourn was made by Joe Guerin and seconded by David Jennings. Meeting was adjourned at 8:27 PM. |
