Tim Gee:
Husband of Christine
Gee, who works the front gate at Speedworld, passed away this past
Sunday. Tim was an integral part of Speedworld for a very long time; he
was the track EMT in the past, and also worked security for years.
Chris will be working the gate this coming Saturday, she would rather be
with friends and busy than be alone. There will be no service. Please
offer your condolences.
Open Discussion:
Rob Papineau – Right
lane jacked up. Will it be fixed?
Answer:
Track owner saw the condition (potholes) in the shut down area and hired
someone to repair it. At the repair point (right at the finish line),
there remained a ‘bump’ in the right lane. He was summoned back and told
it needed to be milled down, as it was causing many of the fast cars.
Don Butler – Is anyone
else having an issue with the left lane starting line? Are there bald
spots? Especially if you stage off to one side, car pulling to the right?
Answer: Jim
Wade noticed some cars in front of him pulling to the right as soon as
they launched; and John Schurr mentioned that the groove tends to drift
toward the right and there are some wear spots.
-
50/50 Winner:
$47 to John Schurr.
Motion to adjourn was made by Richard Church, and seconded by Rob Papineau
at 8:30 PM.
